Life is a surprise.

Unexpected events are guaranteed. But that is what makes life so exciting.

We can try to predict the future, but we can never be sure what will happen. We can make plans, but they don’t always go as planned.

But that’s okay.

The surprises in life are what make it worth living.

Despite our best efforts and intentions, there are no guarantees tomorrow.

However, while we cannot control everything that happens to us, we can control how we respond to these situations.

In our effort to control what could happen tomorrow, we often get trapped in “preparation mode”.

We stop living and stay in expectation by default.

We become obsessed with tomorrow’s events and experiences.

We’re so busy watching out for what’s just ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are,” Bill Watterson said.

The bad news is you could spend your whole life preparing for life and forget to live in the moment.

We often become so focused on getting ready for life that we forget to live it. Don’t prepare for life all your life; today…
