Life is a series of reactions. How I respond to events and experiences is how I live, for better or worse. I never used to be aware. But I’m more conscious now. For every experience, if my response disturbs my internal peace, I rethink how I can do better next time. Events will always unfold, and circumstances will shift. There’s nothing we can do about that. How we react can cause stress and anxiety. Each moment, interaction, and experience presents us with a choice: to react or respond. And within that choice is the power to shape your reality, relationships and yourself.

I like what Baseball Legend Wade Boggs once said, “Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but how we react to what happens, not by what life brings us but the attitude we bring to life.

How you react to the market is how you invest. Emotional reactions like fear during a downturn can lead to selling low, locking in losses. Excitement in a rising market can tempt you to chase risky bets. Reacting…
