The phrase “ignorance is bliss” is a popular phrase that suggests that sometimes it is better not to know certain things because knowing them can cause anxiety, worry, or other negative emotions.
We may think that by avoiding difficult or uncomfortable truths, we can protect ourselves from the harsh realities of life.
However, whether or not ignorance is truly bliss depends on the situation and context.
In a few cases, ignorance can indeed be blissful.
For example, if you are not knowledgeable about certain social or political issues, you may be less stressed or conflicted about them.
However, in many situations in life, “ignorance is bliss” doesn’t hold, especially when it comes to better decision-making, personal growth and designing a meaningful life.
