Knowledge Only Becomes Valuable When You Take Action

Wise people don’t just accumulate knowledge; they apply what they learn to their circumstances to become better versions of themselves.
Wisdom is more than knowing what to learn or read. It goes beyond even a growth mindset. “Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers.” Alfred Lord Tennyson said.
Knowing is not enough. The application of helpful information is the most critical step in the knowledge acquisition process.
Some people learn to improve and upgrade their level of intelligence about topics of interest. Others gather facts to stay informed. There is nothing wrong with that. You don’t have to apply everything you learn in your life.
But if you aim to improve all areas of your life, it pays to adjust your habits, behaviours, attitudes and actions accordingly.
Learning to understand the limits of your knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. But it shouldn’t end there. You have to aim for change. And that means experimenting with the ideas you find.
