People don’t care (and that’s a good thing)
FOPO is a trap.

FOPO (fear of other people’s opinions) can do more damage to your life than you think. It’s the voice in our head asking, “What will they think?” It makes us hesitate, second-guess, and hold back. Social rejection is a thing. But could it be all in our heads? Your life is not yours if you always live to impress others. Why do we care so much?
The honest truth?
People don’t think about you as much as you think they do. They think more about themselves than you think. And that’s actually a good thing. I studied Law. But just before I could make it into a career, I decided it wasn’t for me. Back then ( more than ten years ago), I worried about how I looked, what my parents would think, and what my friends would say. I dropped a traditional legal profession to explore my curiosities.
Long story short, I now write for a living.
I remind myself of this quote by theoretical physicist Richard Feynman to stay true to myself: “You have no responsibility to live up to what other people think you ought to accomplish. I have no responsibility to be like they expect me to be. It’s their mistake, not my failing.” People…
