In the grand tapestry of human existence, life unfolds like a vast and intricate maze, teeming with choices and possibilities.

As we navigate its labyrinthine corridors, we find ourselves confronted with a myriad of paths, each leading to distinct destinations and shaping the narrative of our story.

You can’t have everything in life.

You can try, but you are more likely to fall short.

Your best shot at a successful life is to optimise for at least one of three good options early and leverage time to compound your results.

To optimise is to seek the highest possible outcome to align our actions and intentions in pursuit of a specific goal.

Everyone has a few good options in life:

  1. Focus on building weath early on in life
  2. Build an indispensable skill you can leverage for the rest of your life
  3. Or pursue a career that rarely feels like work but pays for your lifestyle.

Some people try to combine the three options or at least two of them. You can succeed, but it requires singleness of purpose.
