We are all travelling through time. The bad news is we are always on the move. There’s no pause button. Time doesn’t stop for anyone. The world won’t wait for us to catch up. We don’t get to control the flow.

Which is why I live by a simple rule:

Be change-ready. Always be ready to evolve, adapt, survive or get left behind.

Change-ready is how I know I’m ready for anything the uncertain future throws my way. I know I will have the tools and the adaptability to find my footing again.

I’ve been applying that mantra for years.

It’s my first rule for modern survival. It’s simple, but it works. Over the years, I’ve adapted many times in my life and career.

My life and career have been a series of experiments in progress. That’s how I’ve become change-ready. I let go if a habit, principle, mental model, or skill no longer serves me.

I’m a lifelong learner and come across many mindsets and principles. The only way to find out if something can work for me is to apply and measure. If the cumulative benefits are worth it, I keep doing more of it.
