Life gets complex when you assume the many responsibilities that come with maturity. You also become most vulnerable and insecure when you expect others to do more to make your life easier.

Why do people feel miserable a lot of the time? The answer lies in our outlook on life. We think that there is something or someone outside us who can make us happy. We look for external things to solve our problems.

The idea that something or someone is out there — an algorithm or concept, a person, place, or thing — that will magically make you happy is pervasive in modern culture. It’s the foundational delusion of our time.
