False assumptions, beliefs, mental models and narratives lead us down a path of ignorance and confusion.

It gets worse.

False reality can take you on a wrong trajectory in life.

Ludwig Wittgenstein, considered one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century, said, “Nothing is so difficult as not deceiving oneself.

False perception is not just about factual inaccuracies but also distorted interpretations of reality.

Sometimes people believe in false realities because they are simply misinformed. They may have been told something that’s not true, or they may have made assumptions that are not based on evidence.

Other times, people may choose to believe in false realities because they want to believe them.

They may find the false reality comforting or reassuring, or they may enjoy the feeling of being part of a group that believes in something special.

Whatever the reason, believing in false realities can have life-changing consequences.
