Logic or Intuition? How We Decide

How you apply them is how you live

Think back a year. Do you remember that version of you? How much has your life changed? What got you here? Did your turn out as you wanted? Maybe, maybe not.

But one thing’s for sure: change happened.

Almost all of our changes, conscious and unconscious, are determined by two hidden forces you might not even realise you use:

  1. Logic and
  2. intuition/gut

These two seemingly opposite paths work in fascinating ways, shaping our future selves in ways we can’t even begin toimagine.

But how?

Logic

Our logical minds thrive on facts and figures.

My logic force is at work when I’m analysing facts, weighing pros and cons, and thinking about the first, second, and third-order consequences of a decision I’m about to make. It works hardest when I want to make a life-changing decision and I’m unsure about the outcome.

It makes a good case for the “shoulds” — the things I “should” do for stability, security, and following the “right” path.

Logic is my inner engineer or responsible adult, keeping me grounded and avoiding reckless detours.
